DESCRIPTION:It’s the tail end of the big\, bad 1980s in Hollywood\, and the party has been raging hard. Aqua Net\, Lycra\, lace and liquor flow freely at one of the Sunset Strips last legendary venues\, a place where Stacee Jaxx takes the stage and scantily clad groupies line up to turn their fantasies into reality. Amidst the madness\, aspiring rock star (and resident toilet cleaner) Drew longs to take the stage as the next big thing (and longs for small-town girl Sherrie\, fresh off the bus from Kansas with stars in her eyes). But the rock and roll fairy-tale is about to end when German developers sweep into town with plans to turn the fabled Strip into just another capitalist strip mall. Can Drew\, Sherrie and the gang save the strip–and themselves–before it’s too late? Only the music of hit bands Styx\, Whitesnake and more hold the answer. \n— \nThe production will run October 13-15\, 2016 at 7:30pm with a 1:30pm matinee on the 15th as well. \nTickets are $4.98 for students\, $4.99 for children under 12\, and $12 for community members. DESCRIPTION:MasquerAIDS will take place January 24th at 7pm in Heritage Hall. This is the 11th year of MasquerAIDS and the active members are excited to continue supporting this worthy cause. \nThe theme this year is “Love Wins” to reflect the progress and development of the LGBTQ+ community and its involvement within the HIV/AIDS community. In addition to song and dance\, the active members have also made this year’s show more personal and interactive. They’ve asked members of the LBGTQ+ and AIDS communities to share their personal stories at our event. \nFor more information on the event\, click here.
